Adda Cecelia McIntyre Etling

Adda Cecelia McIntyre Etling
Adda Cecelia McIntyre Etling was born on the 3rd of September, 1857 in Wooster, Ohio to Philip Smith McIntyre and Agnes Cecilia Etling [Christine].
Adda was raised by Michael and Keziah [McIntyre] Badger after Agnes Etling (Chrisine) passed away at an early age.  Keziah was the sister of Philip McIntyre.  Philip Smith McIntyre was remarried in 1962 to Pauline Donner after Agnes passed away.  As Michael and Keziah had no children, Philip left his two young daughters [Mary b. April 1st, 1855  and Adda] with his sister and brother in-law who lived near the rest of the Etling clan near the now corner of Coal Bank and Warwick Road after moving from East Union Township (Apple Creek).  Adda had a third sister, Laura, who passed away when she was an infant.  Philip Smith McIntyre was believed to have asthma and as such moved west, settling in Kansas where he started a new family with Pauline.
On March 2nd, 1875 Adda was married to Abraham Etling by Reverend Strasner in the Reformed Church of Orrville, Ohio.  The pair bought several tracts of land throughout the years near the original homestead on Coal Bank Road and reared a total of nine children.

Adda died on the 13th of September 1923, in Marshallville.  She was buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Marshallville, Ohio.
