Elsie
M Piens Newton was born on November 30th, 1891 in
East Union [AppleCreek], Ohio to Charles W. Piens and Ellen Piens
[Gilgen]. Reverend James A. Ulman Arthur
married Arthur Newton and Elsie M. Piens on the 15th of March, 1910
in Akron, Ohio.
Elsie and Arthur had a total of five
children. Dorothy Ellen was born March
31th, 1910. Robert Allen was born
November 22, 1913; John “Jack” L Newton January 3rd, 1918; Betty
Jean December 12, 1920; and Sister Doreen M. born October 21st,
1922.
Elsie
passed away on the 10th of April; she buried next to her husband in
Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville, Ohio.
