Amanda May Webb Forrer
Amanda
May (Webb) Forrer was born on June 10, 1869 in Green Township, Wayne County,
Ohio to Joshua and Harriet (Myers) Webb.
Amanda’s grand-father Moses Webb settled in Green Township in
approximately 1826 with a land grant earned for his service in the War of
1812. Amanda’s grand-father Henry Myer
came to Wayne County in 1839 by covered wagon along with his new growing
family.
November 27th 1886 Amanda was
married to George Forrer, the son John P and Mary Ann (Meck) Forrer. George’s parents came to the Wayne County
area when he was a young boy in the early 1860’s. The couple raised a large family, a total of
nine children
At the age of 61 years
Amanda May (Webb) Forrer passed away on February 14, 1930 in Wayne County. Amanda is buried next to his husband Old
Dunkard Cemetery, Orrville, Ohio.
